Auricular Acupuncture

what is Auricular acupuncture?
Auricular Acupuncture is a gentle, restorative treatment to calm, balance and support your whole system.
Using a gentle ear acupuncture technique following the Five Point Protocol (NADA) it supports the nervous system to reduce stress and anxiety, improves sleep and emotional wellbeing, helps menopause symptoms, supports trauma and grief recovery and complements other therapies.

Auricular acupuncture is a deeply calming therapy that involves placing fine, sterile needles in specific points on the outer ear.
I use the NADA Five-Point Protocol, a compassionate and effective approach originally developed to support emotional balance and trauma recovery.
It’s now widely used to ease stress, improve sleep, regulate the nervous system, and support overall wellbeing.

what is nada?
The NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) protocol uses five key points in each ear to support the body and mind:
-
Sympathetic Point – calms the nervous system, reduces stress, and promotes relaxation
-
Shen Men (“Spirit Gate”) – eases anxiety, helps with sleep, and supports emotional balance
-
Kidney Point – promotes vitality and reduces fear
-
Liver Point – supports detoxification, reduces frustration and anger
-
Lung Point – facilitates grieving and supports immune and respiratory health
Together, these five points help the body and mind shift into a calmer, more balanced state.

Many people find that regular sessions bring a deep sense of calm, clarity, and inner stability, especially when navigating life’s more challenging seasons.

What to expect in a session
During a session, you’ll be seated or laying down comfortably while five small, sterile needles are gently placed in each ear.
You’ll then rest quietly for around 30–45 minutes while the treatment takes effect. The experience is peaceful and grounding, and many clients describe a sense of stillness, calm, or emotional release.

You don’t need to talk or “do” anything — just rest and allow your system to reset.

Ear Beads & the NADA Protocol
A gentle, needle-free way to access the benefits of auricular acupuncture.

If you're curious about the benefits of auricular acupuncture but feel unsure about needles, or if you're supporting a child under 12, ear beads can offer a gentle and effective alternative.
Based on the same principles as the NADA Five-Point Protocol, ear beads offer a needle-free way to activate specific points on the ear that correspond to the nervous system and vital organs.

Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the ear is seen as a microsystem of the entire body. Stimulating points on the ear, whether with needles or beads, can help restore internal balance, calm the nervous system, and ease physical and emotional discomfort. Ear beads work by applying continuous, gentle pressure to these points, sending signals to the brain to promote healing, balance, and relaxation.
